pompeji intro.
I took a lot of photos, but i will only post my film, here below. I loved walking around in Pompeji and Herculaneum and discovering things for myself. A visit there is very personal. It is beautiful, i'm happy to have seen them while they're still standing. I thought film in my camera would do them justice, and i was right! this kodak portra 160nc film below captured them perfectly.

a coastal gravefield during winter.
on a latitude with long winters and short (though lovely) summers, this is what gravefields look like most of the year. their visual place in the landscape during winter is a little difficult to see if the graves are small in size. the snow was far above my knees. i think this stone ship is rockin' it though. it is very pretty. this particular stone ship is sweden's most northern. the final frontier! in the south of scandinavia the stone ships are a lot bigger.

i came across this old photo on wikipedia.
the excavation in 1874 of the western grave mound (it is around
1500 years old ) located in Uppsala, Sweden and i thought
i should share, it's a pretty photo and i haven't seen it before.

wintertime..while i'm waiting for adventures to start in late month of April, this blog is hibernating.
..but i'm reading several books at the same time and planning for
lots of things this upcoming summer, i always need to have a few
adventures waiting. April is just a few months away really.
Above photo is the national gallery in London seen through my
diana+ camera (accidently on pinhole setting).
*update: there will be a few winter posts, so don't worry, dear readers.
